The worm gear mechanical lifting plate bending machine is a small-to-medium-sized equipment specially used for the rolling processing of metal plates. with the worm gear transmission mechanism as its core lifting adjustment device. It realizes the precise lifting of rollers through mechanical transmission. and features stable structure and strong adjustability. Structural Design Core Transmission Structure: It adopts a "three-roller layout (a few are two-roller) + worm gear lifting mechanism". The lifting adjustment of the upper roller (or side rollers) is driven by the worm gear assembly: the worm is rotated manually or by a motor. and the worm meshes with the worm gear to transmit power. which then drives the lead screw (or gear) to move the rollers up and down. There is no "pressure relief risk" of the hydraulic system during adjustment. and the position locking is more stable.- Key Component Characteristics:- The worm and worm gear are mostly made of wear-resistant cast iron (e.g.. HT300) or alloy steel. processed through precision turning and gear grinding. Working PrincipleRoll Spacing Adjustment Stage: According to the thickness of the plate to be processed. the worm is rotated by a manual handwheel (for small models) or motor drive (for medium models). The worm drives the worm gear to rotate. and the internal thread of the worm gear's inner hole matches with the lead screw. converting rotational motion into linear motion to realize the lifting of the upper roller (or side rollers) until the roller spacing matches the plate thickness.- Rolling Operation Stage: After starting the equipment. the lower roller (driving roller) rotates through motor + belt/gear transmission to drive the plate to feed between the rollers; at the same time. according to the required rolling arc. the worm gear mechanism is fine-tuned to control the height of the upper roller. By using the friction and extrusion between the three rollers and the plate. the flat plate is gradually bent into arc-shaped. semicircular. or small-diameter cylindrical workpieces (the rolling diameter is usually ≥100mm).- Forming Correction Stage: If it is necessary to improve roundness. the position of the rollers can be changed by repeatedly fine-tuning the worm gear mechanism. allowing the workpiece to rotate multiple times between the rollers. The accuracy of mechanical transmission is used to correct the arc deviation. ensuring that the forming error is controlled within ±1.5mm (specific accuracy varies by machine model and specification).

Performance Features Stable Lifting Adjustment: The worm gear transmission has "self-locking performance" (when the worm lead angle ≤3°). After the rollers are adjusted in place. they can maintain their position without additional locking devices. avoiding roller sinking due to load during operation. This ensures better consistency of the rolled arc. making it especially suitable for continuous rolling of small-diameter workpieces.- Low Operation Threshold and Easy Maintenance: There are no complex hydraulic pipelines or electronic control programming. Operators only need to master the roller spacing adjustment range and plate feeding speed (some models have fixed speed). so new operators can quickly get started; daily maintenance only requires regular addition of grease (e.g.. lithium-based grease) to the worm gear meshing area. lead screw. and other parts. as well as cleaning impurities on the roller surface. resulting in low maintenance costs.- Application Scope and Limitations:- Advantages: It is suitable for materials such as carbon steel. aluminum plates. and stainless steel plates. focusing on the rolling of medium-thin plates with a thickness of 0.5-6mm. It is suitable for flexible processing of small batches and multiple specifications. and the equipment purchase cost is lower than that of hydraulic plate bending machines;- Limitations: Due to the limitation of mechanical transmission efficiency. it is difficult to process thick plates (thickness >6mm) or high-strength steel plates. The maximum rolling diameter is usually ≤1000mm. and the processing efficiency is lower than that of hydraulic or CNC models (the rolling time of a single workpiece is 20%-30% longer than that of hydraulic models).


Application Scenarios Industry Fields: It is mainly used in hardware product processing (e.g.. small metal barrels. round pipe fittings). ventilation and air conditioning duct forming. and small steel structure manufacturing (e.g.. arc-shaped brackets. decorative metal parts).
